In Episode Four we sit down with TV host Scott Tweedie who you might remember from Episode One in which we turned the tables and he interviewed Mike.

Scott shares some insights from his career in the TV industry, in what can be a tough and gruelling environment, often with an element of the disingenuous. Scott’s take on fame and profile is a refreshing one as he looks to use it in order to give back and help those around him.

This was a great chat. Dive in to get some wonderful perspective on life and manhood from a guy striving to be his best.

Scott shares some of the conversations he struggles to have around standing up and saying something when we perhaps should have.

We hear from Scott about his core drivers being centred around continual improvement to be his best, especially in relation into his mission of making others smile.

When it comes to Scott’s definition of what it means to be a man, he says we know what it is; respect for self and others, providing and being a leader who wants to help others. He expands on this for us.

Then we finish off with Scott sharing the bigger conversation he sees as important, that being about getting our beyond your own needs and to the needs of those around you.

Scott shares some of the conversations he struggles to have around standing up and saying something when we perhaps should have. Also for him delving into conversations around finances.

We dive into what Scott would share with his younger self, and given the chance it would be round being open to opportunities and finding mentors.

We hear from Scott about his core drivers being centred around continual improvement to be his best, especially in relation into his mission of making others smile.

This links to Scott’s measure of success, which was previously centred around his degree in finance – earning money for nice cars – but has now shifted to focusing on and living what he’s passionate about. That being creating and sharing stories, making people happy and connecting with people.

When it comes to Scott’s definition of what it means to be a man, he says we know what it is; respect for self and others, providing and being a leader who wants to help others. He expands on this for us.

We also dive into the things Scott doesn’t talk about, that being failure and the often times heavy pressures he puts on himself.

Then we finish off with Scott sharing the bigger conversation he sees as important, that being about getting our beyond your own needs and to the needs of those around you.
